New hitch or bracket kit development is usually done on actual vehicle frames, obtained right from the factory. CAD (Computer-Aided) designs are then created to develop a prototype, following which our engineers return to the vehicle to verify fit while collecting notes on installation procedures, clearances, and making whatever modifications are required to ensure a high quality fit. The entire event is photographed for tech reference and installation instructions. Prototype samples are then produced that are rigorously tested to both SAE J2638 and Valley VES-001 durability testing regimens.
• Valley’s design team has a combined 40-plus years of towing product development experience, and over 100 years of automotive industry knowledge. Our testing technicians have a cumulative 32 years experience and their intricate knowledge of hitch performance is the key to excellence in Valley’s development of towing products.
• Valley engineers utilize high-end tools such as Finite Element Analysis to optimize designs, making them stronger and expediting development even before the first prototype is built. High design accuracy is always key, and as such, FARO portable laser scanners are used to acquire data. Valley is proud of it's ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 Certifications.
